Experience the delights of the Orient at the newly opened Thai Harbwr, located at Madoc Yacht Club, Porthmadog.  The restaurant is fully licensed and open to non-members.

Thai food is internationally famous. Whether chilli-hot or comparatively bland,  harmony is the guiding principle behind each dish. Thai cuisine is essentially a marriage of centuries-old Eastern and Western influences harmoniously combined into something uniquely Thai. Many authentic Thai dishes are spicy but the recipes are easily adapted to be cooked to suit all palates.



Sujit Scahill and Sawitree Barber are a mother and daughter team who have taken over the running of the catering at Madog Yacht club, trading as Thai Harbwr. Both women are members of Madoc Yacht Club and are full British passport holders having lived locally for ten years.

Sawitree Barber, aged 24 has gained qualifications in Business Administration NVQ Level 2, EdExcel Level 3, BTEC National Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and a National Diplomahospitality Achievement Award in 2008. However Sawitree also has a wealth of experience having worked at Porthmeirion and also at NH Victoria Hotel, Spain.
Sujit Scahill is an experienced chef having worked in various reputable hotels in Thailand over a period of ten years.
